Broncos-Commanders, Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Week 13 Picks

The Broncos head to Washington to take on the struggling Commanders on Sunday Night Football this week. Denver is 9-2 and coming off a bye. They are big favorites on the road, and the Commanders look like they will be without QB Jayden Daniels. There have been so many close games this year, and in games where Denver was favored and win by a lot, they have barely won (Titans, Jets, Giants, Raiders). This week could be the same. I think this is a tough game and Washington will give the Broncos everything they have. I think Denver pulls it out but it will be close.

Prediction: WASHINGTON (+6.5) over Denver

Final Score: Broncos-24 Commanders-20

Broncos at the Bye and Week 12 Picks

The Broncos have a bye this week and they head into the bye week at 9-2 and leading the AFC West. They won a classic last week 22-19 over the Chiefs in Denver, and now have a two game lead over the Chargers and a three and a half game lead over the Chiefs in the division. After the bye, Denver heads to DC to take on the Commanders, and then they head to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders. Denver will be favored in both of those games, and they need to take care of business before they hit a very difficult stretch to end the season: home games against Green Bay and Jacksonville, a Christmas night game at KC and a Week 18 showdown at home against the Chargers. To go where Denver wants to go, they need to win the road games these next two weeks. Until then, as a Broncos fan just sit back and enjoy the bye week and watch the other games play out and be happy that Denver is 9-2.

Broncos-Chiefs and Week 11 Picks

This is one of the biggest games in recent Broncos memory. The 8-2 Broncos, leading the AFC West, host the three-time AFC champion Chiefs. At 5-4, the Chiefs are fighting for a playoff spot. A win here by the Broncos would give them a big advantage over KC for the AFC West crown with the stretch run of the season on the horizon. The Chiefs are coming off a bye and are hitting their stride on offense. The Broncos have a 10 day layoff after barely getting by the Raiders 10-7 last Thursday night. The Broncos offense and Bo Nix have been the focus the last week because of the inconsistent play on that side of the ball. You know the Chiefs and Steve Spagnuolo will make it tough for Denver and Nix. The Broncos defense will be a test for Patrick Mahomes and the KC offense. I think KC will win because they need the game more than Denver at this point, and Mahomes will be too much and find a way to get it done in Mile High

Prediction: (5-4)Kansas City (-3.5) over DENVER(8-2)

Final Score: Chiefs-24 Broncos-19

Week 10 Picks

The Broncos won an ugly game 10-7 over the Raiders on Thursday night. The bright spot was once again the Broncos defense. They forced 6 sacks, one interception, and gave up only a total of 188 yards. The flip side of the game was the Broncos offense. Bo Nix had his worst game of the season, they couldn't move the ball, had bad field position, multiple penalties, and overall it was sloppy. The bottom line is that they won the game 10-7 and move their record to 8-2. They have 10 days to rest and get ready for the Chiefs, who come to Denver next week in what will be the biggest game of the season.

Broncos-Raiders TNF Pick

Denver returns home and hosts the Raiders on a short week on Thursday Night Football. The Broncos pulled out a last second 18-15 victory at Houston last week to improve their record to 7-2. Denver is in first place in the AFC West, and this is their best record since 2015 through nine games. Now, the rival Raiders come to town. The Raiders are dangerous even though they are 2-6. Geno Smith has had some recent success against Denver. TE Brock Bowers was awesome last week and he is a threat in the passing game, and rookie Ashton Jeanty is another weapon on offense. This is not a slam dunk, easy win for Denver. This will be a tough game and that worries me. The Raiders have a long history of coming into Denver and knocking off the Broncos in years when Denver was good and the Raiders were bad.

Prediction: Las Vegas (+9.5) over DENVER

Final Score: Raiders-24 Broncos-23
