Von Miller Signs 6 year Deal for $114.5 Million with the Broncos

The deadline for the Broncos and Franchise Tag player Von Miller to agree to a new deal was July 15th at 4:00pm EST. Two hours before that deadline, the Broncos and the Super Bowl 50 MVP struck a deal and Miller will be the face of the Broncos franchise going forward. The two sides agreed on a 6 year deal worth up to $114.5 million. The deal also gives Miller $70 million guaranteed through the first three years of the deal. It is the biggest non-QB deal in NFL history, and Miller is worth every penny of it. This is a dominant player, a top-10 player in the league, who single handedly won the Broncos a Super Bowl with his performance in the AFC Championship and in Super Bowl 50. All along, I knew that the deal was going to get done. It made sense for both sides and both sides wanted it. Miller wanted to be a Bronco for life, and the Broncos needed to re-sign their best player. Both sides had some hard feelings during negotiations but that is business sometimes. The bottom line is that the deal got done, Miller will be a Bronco and he is the now the face of the franchise. Now, I can go get that #58 Von Miller jersey for me and my two sons.
