The Broncos Week 5 game at New England was postponed to Week 6 because the Patriots had a player test positive for Covid-19 on Sunday morning. The game was originally supposed to play on Sunday October 11th, but last Thursday (October 8th), the game was moved to Monday October 12th at 5:00pm EST. That was the plan going into the weekend but on Sunday morning it changed. The Broncos and Patriots were given the week off and Week 5 counted as their bye week. The Broncos-Pats game is now scheduled for Week 6 on Sunday October 18th at 1:00pm EST. The Broncos were originally scheduled to host the Dolphins in Week 6, but that game was moved to Week 11 on November 22nd. Their Week 8 bye turned into a home game against the Chargers. It is certainly confusing and not ideal at all, but this is what was expected, and the NFL is going to do what is has to in order to continue on with this season and get the games in.
