 Baltimore (+2) over TAMPA BAY

Broncos-Jets and Week 7 Picks

The Broncos are 2-4 and everything is falling apart. They host the surprising 4-2 Jets this week, and it looks like Russell Wilson might not play with a hamstring injury. I think the Broncos downfall continues

Prediction: Jets (-1) over DENVER

Final Score: Jets-24 Broncos-16

Onto the rest of the picks for Week 7...

Last Week's Record: 8-6

Overall Record: 49-39-7

(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)

BALTIMORE (-6) over Cleveland: The Ravens are 3-3 but they will get to 4-3 with a home win over the Browns.

CAROLINA (+13) over Tampa Bay: The Bucs are 3-3 and they will win the game, but look for the Panthers to cover.

Atlanta (+7) over CINCINNATI:  The Bengals are 3-3 and I think they will win at home but the Falcons will keep it close.

DALLAS (-6) over Detroit: The 4-2 Cowboys will take care of business over the Lions.

JACKSONVILLE (-3) over Giants: The 5-1 Giants are a huge surprise in the NFC but they will fall short this week in Jax to the 2-4 Jags.

TENNESSEE (-2) over Indianapolis: The Titans will cruise to an easy win over the Colts at home.

WASHINGTON (+5) over Green Bay: The Packers will find a way to get the win, but it will be close.

LAS VEGAS (-7) over Houston: The Raiders will improve to 2-4 with an easy home win over the Texans.

CHARGERS (-5) over Seattle: Look for the Chargers to get to 5-2 with a home win over the Seahawks.

Kansas City (-2) over SAN FRANCISCO: I think the Chiefs will improve to 5-2 with a solid road win over the 3-3 49ers.

Pittsburgh (+7) over MIAMI: The Dolphins will improve to 4-3 with a win over the Steelers at home but it will be close.

NEW ENGLAND (-7) over Chicago: The Pats will take care of business over the Bears at home and get to 4-3

 ARIZONA (-2) over New Orleans

Broncos-Chargers and Week 6 Picks

I can't see the Broncos coming out on Monday Night Football and fixing their offense in time to beat the Chargers. The injuries are piling up and I just think this is too much of a task for them to take down LA.

Prediction: CHARGERS (-5) over Denver

Final Score: Chargers-30 Broncos-17

Onto the rest of the picks for Week 6...

Last Week's Record: 7-7-2

Overall Record: 41-33-7

(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)

San Francisco (-6) over ATLANTA: The 3-2 Niners will get to 4-2 with a solid, road win over the Falcons.

New England (+3) over CLEVELAND: I think the Patriots will somehow find their way to 3-3 with a win on the road in Cleveland.

Jets (+8) over GREEN BAY: I expect the 3-2 Packers to win at home, but it won't be easy. I think the Jets keep it close.

Jacksonville (+2) over INDIANAPOLIS: The Colts are 2-2-1 but they never should have won that game in Denver last week. The Jags are 2-3 but they will rebound with a road win over Indy.

Minnesota (-3) over MIAMI: I'm not sure who the Dolphins are starting at QB, but I like what I have seen out of the 4-1 Vikings, and I think they will take care of business in Miami this week.

Cincinnati (-1) over NEW ORLEANS: The Bengals will get back to 3-3 with a road win over the Saints in this spot.

Baltimore (-6) over GIANTS: The Giants are 4-1 and a surprise so far this year. The Ravens come in at 3-2. This will be a fun game, but look for the Ravens to pull away late.

PITTSBURGH (+8) over Tampa Bay: The Bucs will win this game, but I think the Steelers will keep it close.

RAMS (-8) over Carolina: This is the week the Rams get their game back on track. Look for a solid win over the 1-4 Panthers, who just fired Matt Rhule.

Arizona (-3) over SEATTLE: I think the Cardinals go into Seattle and take care of business over the Seahawks and get to 3-3.

Buffalo (-2) over KANSAS CITY: This is the game of the year so far this season. The 4-1 Bills travel to Kansas City to take on the 4-1 Chiefs. It is a rematch of last year's classic AFC Divisional Playoff Game. Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes. Look for another classic battle, and I'm taking the Bills because I think they are just a tad better at this point.

Dallas (+6) over PHILADELPHIA: Really good game on SNF with the 4-1 Cowboys going up to Philly to take on the 5-0 Eagles. I think the Eagles will win the game, but look for Dallas to keep it close.

Broncos Lose 12-9 to Colts in Embarrassing Loss

I'm done. After the last six years of Broncos football, this might be the loss that breaks the back of me and Broncos fans. Thursday's night 12-9 loss in overtime to the Colts was so bad that it might be the most inexcusable and embarrassing loss in my lifetime as a Broncos fan. I'm not doing anymore recaps of these games. It is not worth it. Russell Wilson threw two horrible interceptions deep in Indy territory. He does not look like the Russell Wilson I thought we were getting. Nathaniel Hackett made some questionable decisions down the road, and he looks like he is in over his head as a head coach. More and more injuries are piling up and the Broncos are 2-3 and still have a ridiculously hard schedule later in the year. This is has not gone the way I thought it would. There will be no playoffs this year. There will probably be another head coach next year, and we are stuck with a washed up Russ. It is not fun writing about the Broncos every week anymore. The last five years were brutal and we are back to the same spot. Therefore, I'm just going to post weekly predictions for the Broncos and the other games and that's it. I don't have the time or will to write about them anymore. Not after last night.

Week 5 Picks!

Last Week's Record: 10-5-1

Overall Record: 34-26-5

(HOME TEAM IN CAPS)

Green Bay (-7) over Giants (In London): This feels like the week the Packers offense really gets going and takes care of business in London over the Giants.

Pittsburgh (+14) over BUFFALO: I think the Bills will win comfortably, but look for the Steelers to cover the number with new backup QB Kenny Pickett.

Chargers (-3) over CLEVELAND: The Chargers will go on the road and win this game over the Browns.

Houston (+7) over JACKSONVILLE:  I think this game is close throughout. Look for the Texans to be right in it to the end.

MINNESOTA (-7) over Chicago: I gotta think the Vikings will be able to take care of business at home over the Bears. Look for a solid win for the Vikes at home.

Detroit (+3) over NEW ENGLAND: The Pats might be going with third-string QB Bailey Zappe. I think the Lions will be feisty on the road in Foxboro.

NEW ORLEANS (-3) over Seattle: The Saints will get back on track with a solid home win over the Seahawks.

JETS (+4) over Miami: I like the Jets in this spot. They are at home and Miami will be starting Teddy Bridgewater with Tua out with a concussion.

TAMPA BAY (-6) over Atlanta: Tom Brady and the Bucs get back on track with a convincing home win over the Falcons.

Tennessee (-2) over WASHINGTON: I think the Titans get to 3-2 with a big road win over the Commanders.

CAROLINA (+5) over San Francisco: I think the 49ers will win on the road, but I'll take the points, and I think Carolina will be feisty.

ARIZONA (+6) over Philadelphia: The Eagles are flying with a 4-0 start to the year, and Arizona is 2-2. I think Arizona will somehow find a way to pull the upset here.

Dallas (+5) over RAMS: Fun game in the late window on Sunday afternoon. Look for Dallas to keep it class and have it come down to a field goal.

BALTIMORE (-3) over Cincinnati: Huge game on Sunday night. The Ravens are 2-2, with both losses at home this year. The Bengals are 2-2 after starting 0-2. I think the Ravens will do enough to get the win.

KANSAS CITY (-7) over Las Vegas:  The 1-3 Raiders come to KC to take on the 3-1 Chiefs. I think this will be a very competitive game, but look for the Chiefs to pull away at the end.

Broncos-Colts Week 5 TNF Pick

The Broncos have to win this game on a short week. I know they are banged up. Javonte Williams is out for the year. Randy Gregory is going to miss a month, and Justin Simmons is still out, but they have to find a way and come out of this Thursday night game with a win. They have to be 3-2 and have some time off before they head to LA to take on the Chargers in Week 6. The Colts are 1-2-1, and they are without Shaq Leonard on defense and Jonathan Taylor on offense. The Broncos have to find a way to get the win. Put it all on Russell Wilson's shoulders and get it done. Unfortunately, I just don't trust this team enough to have confidence in them or to pick them.

Prediction: Indianapolis (+3) over DENVER

Final Score: Colts-23 Broncos-17

Broncos Lose to Raiders, Fall to 2-2

The Broncos went into Las Vegas on Sunday and came out of there with another loss to the Raiders. Las Vegas won the game 32-23, and the Broncos fell to 2-2. It was a disappointing game because it really felt like the Broncos had a good chance to win the game. A Melvin Gordon fumble in the second quarter and a defensive meltdown on the last drive ended Denver's hopes. Here are my thoughts on the game....

1) The Broncos had all the momentum and with the game tied 10-10, they were driving in the second quarter. Melvin Gordon fumbled and the Raiders picked it up and returned it for a touchdown. The Raiders missed the extra point, but at 16-10 that play was the difference in the game and turned it back into the Raiders favor. Gordon has had a lot of fumbling issues with the Broncos and it came back to bite us once again.

2) The other key moment was when the Broncos had cut the lead to 25-23 midway through the 4th quarter. The Raiders got the ball and went right down the field and put in another touchdown to make it 32-23. Josh Jacobs had another big day against the Broncos defense and so did Davante Adams. It was disappointing that the Broncos defense got thrashed at the end of the game. Clearly, the Raiders still have our number.

3) Russell Wilson played his best offensive game of the season and finished with 2 TDs passing and 1 rushing TD. The problem is that the Broncos still lost. The offense was really bad in the third quarter and had three straight 3 and outs. I think that the offense is trending up but still not there yet.

4) Javonte Williams got hurt in the 3rd quarter and tore his ACL and is out for the season. It is a really devastating blow for Williams and the Broncos offense. Now, the Broncos have to turn back to Melvin Gordon and rely on him the rest of the way. Randy Gregory also suffered a knee injury and is out at least four weeks which is unfortunate because Gregory was playing really well for the defense.

5) This 2-2 start is really disappointing. I honestly expected more from this team and Russell Wilson and the offense. I know it is a long season and there are many games left to get it going, but it hasn't been the start I expected from this new look Broncos. Unfortunately, this team looks a lot like the Fangio Broncos from the last few years.

6) Denver heads home and hosts the Colts on Thursday Night Football. They are banged up and need a win at home. They have to find a way to win this game, rest up and get ready for the Chargers next week.
