Broncos-Bengals and Week 4 Picks

The Broncos are 1-2 after two straight losses to Indy and the Chargers. They return home to Denver to take on the 2-1 Bengals on Monday Night Football. Joe Burrow is out with a foot injury until at least the middle of December. Jake Browning had a rough day last week as the Bengals got killed in Minnesota. I would not expect the Bengals to play as bad as they did last week, and I would expect Browning to play a lot better as well. The Broncos lost two games as time expired in both games. They never trailed in the 4th quarter of either game.  They need to stop taking bad penalties, they need Bo Nix to step it up a notch, and they need Sean Payton to right this ship. Until I see it, I can't believe they will.

Prediction: Cincinnati (+7.5) over DENVER

Final Score: Bengals-26 Broncos-24

Broncos-Chargers and Week 3 Picks

This is a tough game for the Broncos. They are 1-1 after a brutal loss to Indianapolis last week, and now they head to LA to take on the 2-0 Chargers. I don't think this is a must win for Denver in Week 3, but if they get blown out by the Chargers, it could be damaging on certain levels for the mindset of this team. The Chargers have looked good in their first two wins, and I worry that Justin Herbert is going to dice up the Broncos defense. The more I think about this game, the more I feel like the Broncos are in trouble this week.

Prediction: CHARGERS (-2.5) over Denver

Final Score: Chargers-27 Broncos-20

Broncos-Colts and Week 2 Picks

The Broncos won in ugly fashion last week in Week 1 at home over the Titans 20-12. It wasn't pretty. Bo Nix struggled, and Sean Payton made some interesting coaching decisions to say the least. But, a win is a win in the NFL, so I'll take 1-0 to start the year. In Week 2, Denver heads to Indy to take on Daniel Jones and the Colts. The Colts buried the Dolphins last week, and Jones was spectacular. This game looks much harder for Denver now than it did in August. I know Denver's defense was great last week in the win over the Titans, but it might be too much for them this week on the road-even up against Danny Dimes. I need to see a big rebound from Bo Nix before I start to get more confident in this Denver team.

Prediction: INDIANAPOLIS (+2.5) over Denver

Final Score: Colts 23- Broncos-20

Broncos-Titans and Week 1 Picks

The Broncos open up the 2025 at home against the Titans. This is ready-made for the Broncos to get off to a 1-0 start on the year. Denver hasn't won a season opener since the 2021 season. If they don't win this game, then there is definitely a reason to overreact and worry about this team this year. The Titans will come in with #1 overall pick and rookie QB Cam Ward. Ward goes up against the highly touted Broncos defense in Mile High with a crowd that is going to be fired up and loud. The Broncos have become a very sexy pick in the AFC this year. A LOT of people are picking Denver to win the AFC West and go on a deep playoff run. I just don't like that. I like when they fly under the radar-just like last year. We'll see how this season goes, but the Broncos have to get off to a 1-0 start going up against a rookie QB coming to Denver.

Prediction: Tennessee (+7.5) over DENVER
