Super Bowl Week

The week in between the conference title games and the Super Bowl is usually pretty quiet and nondescript. The teams aren't at the site yet, all the media hasn't descended on the city yet, and it is kind of a calm before the storm type of feeling. Once Monday hits, then Super Bowl week is in full effect. There will be millions of stories, features, interviews, and events to fill every newspapers, website, radio show, and television program. Next week, I'm going to run three columns: A facts and tidbits column about Super Bowl XLV, a column involving some of the prop bets at this year's Super Bowl, and a column previewing the game and picking the winner. After the Super Bowl ends, I will have plenty of time to look back on the season that just ended, look ahead to the Draft and Free Agency, discuss the current labor situation, review my season picks and predictions, and look ahead to the state of the Broncos and their future. Unfortunately, for the first time since Labor Day weekend there is no football to enjoy this Sunday (No, the Pro Bowl doesn't count). If you need a football fix, I suggest watching NFL Network's marathon of Super Bowl highlights all weekend long.
